3750 and 2950 switches

Hi

I would like to use 2950 series as layer 2 and WS-C3750G-48PS as layer 3 switches. If I use SFP ports using copper SFP modules on 3750 switch to provide uplink, can I use 2950 switch? If so,

which 2950 switch (one which is not in end-of-sale and support) should I order to provide the uplink to 3750 switch?

what is the part number should I order for Copper SFP module on 3750 switch?

If I cannot use 2950 series, what other switch can I use to provide uplink to 3750 SFP module.

Or can I provide normal uplink between 2950 and 3750 fast ethernet ports without using SFP modules as I understand its good to use gig ports as uplinks.

please help asap

thanks

sarat

That would work fine though I think 2950's are EOS and are replaced by 2960's which is basically the same thing . If you have gig ports then its good to use though most installations have a problem even filling a 100meg/full pipe unless it is a heavy use server installation . Yes you can use normall 100 meg ports as uplinks if that meets your needs and bandwidth requiements .

So I guess I can use WS-C2950-24 with WS-C3750G-48PS right?

In case if my client want to use 2950/2960 switches with gig uplinks what are the options do I have with 3750?
