Hi;
Is it still true that you need to use an h323 gateway with fxo's in order to get incoming caller or can you now use mgcp?
thanks

How come on some calls we get caller id onto the phone and others we don't?
All calls coming into the same set of FXO ports configured on a 2621xm with NM-HD-2V and VIC2-4FXO card.
When using "debug vpm signal" the output shows receiving the caller id data for almost all calls.
MGCP only
IOS 12.3(14)T5
CM 4.1(3)sr4b
Thanx

Hi,
it is true that documentation says that Caller ID is not supported on MGCP, but i have couple of clients having MGCP gateways with VIC2-4FXO and caller ID running as in H.323.

I'm not sure of the older gateways, but with my experience with the ISR routers, Caller ID isn't displayed unless its with an H323 gateway.
