We have just upgraded to CW2.6 and CM4.0.6 and User Tracking is seeing everyone, but it appears every time it runs, it produces a new entry for each device, instead of realizing the box it found yesterday is the same device it just found. Needless to say, I have lots of duplicate MAC and IP addresses. Should we set UT to delete after each discovery?

In your ANIServer.properties file what is the value of UTIPChange?

UTIPChange=1
BTW, User Tracking works fine on our old version...
Thanks.

This is typically indicative of an old bug in UT 4.0 that has since been corrected. Unfortauntely, the only way to get the fix for this bug is to reinitialize your ANI database:
NMSROOT/bin/perl NMSROOT/bin/dbRestoreOrig.pl dsn=ani dmprefix=ANI
Where NMSROOT is the path into which CiscoWorks is installed.
Once that is done, the ever-growing duplicate problem should not reappear.

Hi jclarke
We have the same problem but we run LMS2.6 with Campus Manger 4.0.8. The value of UTIPChange=1. Are the workaround the same as you describe before - ANI DB reinitializing?
