hello

suppose i have 2 cat6500 with etherchannel trunk between them and we use hsrp. access switches are connected to both core switches.

is it recommaded to limit hsrp traffic (multicast) to the etherchannel port only? in that all access switches are receiving hsrp. if yes how?

ok

but this document does't explain how to limit the hsrp traffic to trunk between the 2 6500.

it s unwanted to receive hsrp traffic to all access ports.
