I suppose both switchs reside in the same VTP domain. If the switch in question is a vtp client, then you must define the vlan on the server. In transparent mode you can define a vlan, but it will only work on that switch.

Which version of VTP do you use anyway ?

i want to know on how to enable ip range on the vtp server for a remotely located vtp client.

how to enable communication between two vlans whcih are in different domains?
