Need VPN Endpoint for ASA 5510

Unanswered Question

We have an ASA 5510 and I need suggestions for an endpoint with the Quick Connect feature.

The VPN will only be used for TCP/IP printing. Basically I have the ASA 5510 at the main office, Mobile Uint 1 has VPN established through a mobile gateway with an internal Cisco client that uses a group id and password. I need to establish a VPN to Office 2. Office 2 has 1 desktop and 1 printer with internal NIC setup with static IP. I need the desktop to remain unaffected by the VPN. The printer should be the only thing on the VPN at Office 2. End result should allow Mobile Unit 1 to print to Office 2 via TCP/IP printing.

I have this problem too.

Hi Dale, you can use any device that creates a LAN-to-LAN connection between main office and Office2. I would go for a 871 router or a PIX 506E.

But, why not having a VPN device on the Office2 and the users to connect using VPN client from Site1 directly to Office2, and not through main office. A PIX 506E on Office2 will do the trick.
