Book review wanted: "IOS in a Nutshell" - O'Reilly Press

Unanswered Question
Feb 5th, 2007

I have often ducked into the bookstore to look something up in this one, except a thing that really REALLY bothers me about it is that for each of the configuration commands it discusses, it doesn't tell you which config mode the command is used in!!!

Does anyone have this book, and can they tell me whether this mode-missing is as much of a dealbreaker as I think it is?

I have this problem too.

IOS in a nutshell is more a reference book than a beginners book. That being said, it does have some chapters about the basics of IOS, such as ios naming convention and the different modes.

Overall I think it is a good book to have on your bookshelf.
