CCME FXO Call Waiting Hookflash

Unanswered Question
Feb 5th, 2007

I have configured CCME 4 on a 2811. I am using a vic2-4fxo connected to the PSTN on the first 2 FXO ports. The ports are configured as follows:

voice-port 0/0/0

supervisory disconnect dualtone mid-call

timeouts call-disconnect 5

timeouts wait-release 5

timing hookflash-out 50

connection plar xxxxxxx

description xxx-xxx-xxxx

caller-id enable

!

voice-port 0/0/1

supervisory disconnect dualtone mid-call

timeouts call-disconnect 5

timeouts wait-release 5

timing hookflash-out 50

connection plar xxxxxxx

description xxx-xxx-xxxx

caller-id enable

I have also configured the FXO-Hookflash in my telephony-system setup parameters.

telephony-service

fxo hook-flash

In CCME 4.x call waiting is enabled by default. I have the "flash" softkey present on all phones during a call. When a second call comes in, I am presented with the call waiting "beep." However, when I press the "flash" softkey, the hookflash is essentially ignored and the call never flashes to the call-waiting.

Ideas, Suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

I have this problem too.

Hi,

50 msec hookflash sounds kind of short. Perhaps something like 150 or 200 should work. Also look at "debug vpm signal" to make sure sure hookflash is generated on key press.

Thanks. Sometimes the obvious will get ya.

I increased the timing hookflash-out to 200 and the Call-Waiting works flawlessly now(anything below 200ms did not).

Thanks Paolo.
