Hi, I bought a Cisco 1600 ROUTER off Ebay, its a used one; while booting it prompts me to put a USER ACCESS AUTHENTICATION PASSWORD. Please can someone advice on how to follow this?
Thanks

Sounds like someone forgot to clear their config before sending it to you. To reset the passwords you will need to perform password recovery on it. Hopefully you got a console cable with the router (should be flat and is typically blue or black). Here are directions on the password recovery.

You need a console cable. Directly connect the cable to the router and your PC, then follow the directions. Here's diagrams/instructions for a 1700, but it will be the same for your router.

Please read the directions carefully. You need to power cycle the router and enter the Break sequence to gain access.
