why I can ping to any ip address except my IP address

when troubleshooting the switchport, when ping to else IP address from my laptop, it is ok, but ping the local IP address, unreachable.

which ip you are trying to ping ? and can you post the output of ipconfig /all and also which ip you are trying to ping ...

Also how you have got connected in your local network..

Hi!

Check if you're using a PC that has a built in firewall. For windowsXP, either temporarily close the Firewall or go to firewall advance ICMP settings and check on allow ICMP echo requests. Also check for other firewall applications.
