hi experts,
could any one explain the differnece,advantage,aisadvantage...etc between L2 and L3 VPN

Bonsoir Mahesh,
L2 VPN is VPN provided with L2 layer protocols as (Vp, Vc)of ATM, or MAC addresses, or MPLS labels (that is MAC from the client over MPLS from the carrier.
L3 VPN is VPN provided with L3 layer protocols. There is one case, by using IP addresses (that is IP from the client over IP from the carrier).
You can also add L1 VPN, that are leased lines, using TDM protocols (PDH, SDH or OTN).
The carrier chooses the VPN type in accordance with its existing equipments in the transport network.
