Can I delete WLAN 1 SSID?

Unanswered Question

During the basic configuration of the WISM modules it asks for WLAN 1 SSID or netowrk name.

Instructions says "This is the default SSID that lightweight access points use to associate to a controller"

This WLAN is listed as disabled but using 802.1x authentication. It is not set to broadcast SSID but is seen on all 75 APs and causing some association issues with Axiom devices.

Questions are:

1. Can this WLAn be deleted from all controllers?

2. If not, how do I prevent the SSID from being seen by wireless clients?

I have this problem too.

Well, if the SSID is set not to broadcast the SSID it should not be seen by the wireless clients at all unless some body manually types in the SSID into the wireless cleints.

If you are seeing this SSID on the clients then delete it manually.

Yes, I typically recommend that during the initial config you put a dummy WLAN 1 in. then when you have GUI access remove the dummy WLAN and configure the WLAN you really want in there.
