Unity Partner Exchange servers

This is a Unity 4.2(1) UM server without failover located at site X.

In the event viewer, there is a application warning that states "The partner Exchange Server SiteZ-Mail-01 is offline during ExchangeMonitor Startup. All message notification processing is disabled until this has been resolved. When the Exchange Monitor detects that this server is back online, registration for notifications will proceed."

This Exchange 2000 server is not the mail server where the mailstores are homed to. There are actually 30 independent sites around the globe, each with their own exchange server, but all in the same AD forest.

Is the fact that this other mail server is offline adversely affecting this Unity server? There is no digital networking and no direct dialing between any of the sites.

Vivan,

If you have your Unity box pointed to Partner Server Z and it is off-line then yes it will affect Unity.

I hope that there is suffcient bandwidth for all the exchange servers tied together. Remember that Unity goes into the mailbox for each subscriber to look for new messages.
