Is there anyway to suppress dialtone on an agent's ICD line? Each agent phone has an ICD line and a personal line. We want to eliminate the possibiltiy of an agent using the ICD line to place an outgoing call. The CCM version is 4.2.3, the IPCC is 4.5 - thank you.

You can not remove the dialtone, but you can restrict the line with a calling search space so that the user can only dial or transfer to internal numbers only. Hope this helps.

You can set the calling search space up on the agent line as a ring down line to a bogus number. This way when they go off hook on their agent line they will just get a fast busy (they will still obviously be able to take inbound calls).
Follow the instructions in this link with one caveat, on the translation pattern setup in the called party transform mask (in this link 2006 is the number) just put in a bogus directory number.

Thanks for the great suggestion. We'll give it a try.
