WFQ is causing L2TP tunnel to fall.

Hi,

I ran into problems enabling WFQ on my router so I'll be glad to receive a little help on this topic. My network connected to the ISP via a L2TP tunnel:

interface Virtual-PPP1

ip address negotiated

ip nat outside

ip virtual-reassembly

ip route-cache flow

load-interval 30

no cdp enable

ppp pap sent-username XXX password 7 XXX

pseudowire 1.1.1.1 123 pw-class dialer-to-internet

Here's the additional configuration which makes the L2TP work:

l2tp-class 1234

hello 10

!

!

pseudowire-class dialer-to-internet

encapsulation l2tpv2

protocol l2tpv2 1234

ip local interface FastEthernet4

ip pmtu

And there're a static routes which points to ISPs l2tp server via the FastEthernet4 interface.

HERE'S THE PROBLEM ? When I'm enabling WFQ in the Virtual-PPP1 interface in the outbound direction (either by typing fair-queue on the interface level or by applying a policy-map which includes only the fair-queue statement for "class-default") the l2tp dialer disconnects and never get connected again until I reboot the router (simply typing "no fair-queue" doesn't helps). The router is still able to route to the l2tp gateway (it manages to get icmp replys to pings from it, at least) but the internet connection never come up again. I heard about "only FIFO queuing method is available for software-based interfaces" (such as the virtual-ppp) but why than it's available for me to enable WFQ on a virtual-ppp in a first place?

The router is 871W with c870-advsecurityk9-mz.124-4.T3.bin IOS.

Thank is advance,

Alex.
