Hi all!

We have 4.1(3)SR4d call manager.

A want to use signed version of the current firmware.

I have 2 7905 firmware with zup and sbin extensions,

1 firmware image for 7912 with sbin extension.

I have both the sbn and bin images for 7940 and 7960, but if I set the phone to use the sbn I can change it to use bin again - which should not be possible as I know.

So, how can I use signed images?

Thanks,

Bela

You can use the upgradecode parameter in a profile file to provide special upgrade instructions for the Cisco IP Phone models 7902G, 7905G, and 7912G.

For detailed information about using profile files, see Appendix A, "Additional Configuration Methods and Parameters."

To provide upgrade instructions to a phone, add the following line to the Cisco IP Phone profile file:

upgradecode:3,type,0x0400,0x0100,tftp_server_ip,69,image_id,

image_file_name

where:

?type is 0x401 for the Cisco IP Phone 7902G, 0x501 for the Cisco IP Phone 7905G, or 0x601 for the Cisco IP Phone 7912G.

?tftp_server_ip is the IP address of the TFTP server on which the firmware upgrade image is stored. Enter 0 to use the TFTP server specified by the TFTPServer1 parameter or by DHCP.

?image_id is a unique 32-bit integer value. This value must be different for each upgrade. For this value, it is convenient to use 0x followed by the build date on the image file name. (For example, if the image file name is CP79050101SCCP030323A.ZUP, then the build date is 30323A, and image_id would be 0x30323A.)

?image_file_name is the file name of the firmware upgrade image.
