7912G flapping on Catalyst 6509

Hi,

We recently implemented cisco phones on our network.

The 7912G phones patched to the 6509 module WS-X6248-TEL seems to keep going up and down a lot.

The same does not happen on the catalyst 3750 platform.

We are running Catos 6.4

Has anyone come across similar problems?

Check to see how the ports on the linecard are setup , they need to match how the phones are setup . Also if I were going run phones I think I would upgrade to code to something more recent within the confines of your supervisors installed nvram etc ...

Many thanks for the reply.

The phone and linecard are both set to auto speed/duplex.

Do you mean a Catos upgrade?

I thought the same and tried catos7.6 and still the same problem.
