Hi, I remeber in PIX world that the failover port should be as fast as the fastest port running in the firewall.
In ASA5540 we have 4 GE and 1 FE (mngt0/0): can I choose the FE (mngt0/0) as the failover lan port ?
thank you in advance

Renato,
With the ASA you need to use one of the 4 GE interfaces as your failover interface on each unit. There are several configuration modes for the ASA in failover and I would encourage you to read through all the documentation available to you for your release of the software.

Hi, excuse me but in ASA 7.2 command reference under "failover lan interface" command I read "You can use any unused Ethernet interface on the device" and also I can use a logical interface ffor failover lan.
Where did you find the limit to the 4 GE ?
thank you in advance
