chassisPs1Status 4500 and Catalyst 4500 IOS?

Answered Question

I'm trying to monitor power supply status on my 4506's running IOS 12.2 enterprise services.

On my Cat6500's I can simply poll CISCO-STACK-MIB::chassisPs1Status, but this OID doesn't appear to exist on the 4500 even though the documentation seems to suggest it should:

Cat 6500:

-bash-2.05b$ snmpwalk -v2c -c public switch1 CISCO-STACK-MIB::chassisPs1Status

CISCO-STACK-MIB::chassisPs1Status.0 = INTEGER: ok(2)

Cat 4500:

-bash-2.05b$ snmpwalk -v2c -c public switch2 CISCO-STACK-MIB::chassisPs1Status

CISCO-STACK-MIB::chassisPs1Status = No Such Object available on this agent at this OID

I have this problem too.

The Cat4K IOS switches do not support the STACK-MIB. You should use the CISCO-ENVMON-MIB to get power supply information. Take a look at the ciscoEnvMonSupplyStatusTable for your Cat4K.
