Question about Config Synchronisation on CSS

Hi All,

i had a great Configuration on 2 CSS 11503 and want to synchronize the configurations.

Now the customer asks which risk will be there.

Does anybody now problems with that Feature ??

Joerg,

I would suggest to take the release notes of the customer software version and verify if there was any bugs opened with the config synch command.

I know there was a few of them in the past.

Hi Gilles,

thx for your help.

Do you know that the config synch feature is only supported without having redundant VIP?s ?

Is this in planning to support with VIP?s ?

config synch works with redundant-vip.

Just be aware that there are 2 type of redundancy available on the CSS

- box-to-box

- vip/interface redundancy

Each solution comes with its own synch script/command.

Make sure to use the appropriate one for your setup.
