How to manually remove a sever from a cluster (IPCC Express)

I have a server running IPCC express 4.0.4sr1.

A second server had been installed in the cluster with the expectation to use it as High availability.

The license key never came and the HA option was scratched.

Somebody then shutdown that secondary server and reused it for a different purpose without running setup first to properly remove it from the cluster. The installation is AD integrated.

One of the step is probably to delete the publication from SQL.

Anybody knows what to touch in AD and on the remaining server?

Thanks

If you are installing SQL 2000 in a high-availability cluster, either co-resident with CRS, or on expansion servers, you must complete server setup on the first server which has SQL 2000 installed, and activate the Datastore components before even installing the second server with SQL 2000. If you do not follow this procedure, you will encounter a problem with the SQL Utility program running repeatedly. If this happens, you will need to select "Remove Server" from Appadmin Control Center to

remove the second database server from the cluster, complete the SQL Utility run on the primary database server, and then run the CRS installer on the second database server to add back that node to the cluster, and run server setup on the second database server.
