Hi
I have read that the location setting does not include RTP connections to MTP. How do you then limit calls overs to MTP so that you do not oversubscribe the bandwidth allocation. Do you add extra bandwidth to the location.

Bill

Theres a service parameter in IPVMS (IP Voice Media Streaming) in which you configure maximum sessions for SW MTP.
If using SW|HW MTP in IOS router you configure the max sessions in the profile.
Also ?we create an option called:
"Fail Call if MTP Allocation Fails" which may help you.

Thanks for the response.
Does this parameter also apply to transcoding or does the location take into account when using transcoding. It will make the calculation a little difficult because you then have to calculate normal calls then MTP overhead.
Is my understanding correct?
