SRST on degraded WAN Link

I have a remote site configured to use SRST in the even of a WAN failover, this all works great in this instance.

The problem I am experiencing is that the SP occasionally has problems that degrade the performance of our WAN link.

Apart from lowering the keepalives is there any way I can protect my site from this. I experience problems with SRST failover and fallback when the line performance is degraded.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Performance degraded means? when the link flaps for sometime and the phones try to register to SRST? or what please explain in detail what is ur issue.

And send me SRST configs as well.

Hi Daljeet,

Below is the config, the link is a 2Mb cct running through an MPLS core, this is backed up by the SP with a 2Mb microwave cct.

The SP has recently been experiencing poor performance on the cct with losses of 20%+

If the link fails over to the microwave the router does not always failover into SRST mode. If it does it some times has trouble failing back, we recently had an event on the circuit when it failed and were unable to make outbound calls for 20min but could receive calls the router did not failover into SRST.

The keepalives are set 15 seconds is it possible that the mgcp failed and it took this long to reregister the endpoints?

Thanks

Stafford
