BERT for GigE or TenGigE

Is there a "BERT" that I can perform on Ethernet interfaces on Catalyst 6509s (from the CLI)? I have a Point to Point network with 10G (WS-X6704) cards that I want to test to see if the line performance is the same when the 10G's are connected directly to each other vs. going through an OEO DWDM link. Thanks.

Bit Error Ratio Testing could be done on these interfaces.
