Did you try

copy sup-bootflash:s72033-psv-mz.122-18.SXD3.bin ftp://administrator:letmein@10.0.x.x

or

copy sup-bootflash:/s72033-psv-mz.122-18.SXD3.bin ftp://administrator:letmein@10.0.x.x

I know - it't exactly the same command like the one you used but sometimes the menus in IOS are a little strange.

It is the same problem

ShRo001#copy sup-bootflash:s72033-psv-mz.122-18.SXD3.bin ftp://administrator:letmein@10.0.x.x

Address or name of remote host [10.0.x.x]?

Destination filename [s72033-psv-mz.122-18.SXD3.bin]?

%Error opening sup-bootflash:s72033-psv-mz.122-18.SXD3.bin (No such device)

ShRo001#copy sup-bootflash:/s72033-psv-mz.122-18.SXD3.bin ftp://administrator:letmein@10.0.x.x

Address or name of remote host [10.0.x.x]?

Destination filename [s72033-psv-mz.122-18.SXD3.bin]?

%Error opening sup-bootflash:/s72033-psv-mz.122-18.SXD3.bin (No such device)

I will tell you my steps that let me in this status;

first I took a copy using the ftp and It was sucessful then I erased the files from the slavesup-bootflash (on standby sup.) to upgrade this first, and when I try to copy from the ftp it hangs and no response, even my console session to the active sup is freezed and I am only telneting on the Router.

by the way the same problem happens with tftp and also when I try to copy from the supbootflash to the slavesup-bootflash. I cannot reload the router as it is on a production network now.

any suggestions?
