Cisco 5000 series problems.

Hello. Im having troubles with my cisco 5000. I just got it used, and it freezes.

I hyperterminal in, using the settings Cisco reccomended.

ATE0

ATS0=1

ROM Checksum...passed

Dual Port RAM r/w Test..passed

ID PROM...passed

System DRAM Size(mb)...32

DRAM Data Bus Test...passed

DRAM Address Test...passed

DRAM Byte/Work Access Test..passed

uncompressing nmp image

This will take a minute...

NMP image is successfully uncompressed in DRAM

then it freezes.

Any idea's?

It did something new. After NMP image is successfully uncompressed in DRAM

it shows

Are you sure you are waiting long enough , these ancient Cat 5000's take a long time to boot and appear to freeze at times . Let it boot for 10 minutes and see if it completes .

Ok Ill try waiting longer. I assume you have never heard of this problem then.

I figured out the problem. the supervisor module was messed up. I replaced it with a different supervisor module and it works fine now.
