Hello,
I have two edge routers that point to my ISP running BGP. They also are running OSPF for my internal routes. Should I not be running OSPF on my edge routers?
I've read that you should NOT be advertising your internal network at the edge. If this is correct then should I just have a static route on the edge routers pointing to my 6509 MSFC router and then run OSFP there?
Thanks

There are multiple perspectives on your question. From a purely security perspective it would probably be more secure if you did not run a dynamic routing protocol on the edge routers. But if you do not run a dynamic routing protocol there then how does your internal network decide which of the edge routers to use to get to the Internet? And how does your internal network determine if there are problems with one of the providers and that they should use the other provider?
I find that many people choose to run a dynamic routing protocol on the edge routers because it makes answering these questions much easier.
