Is the newest SIP firmware for the 7940G XML based like the 79x1G series phones?

I have this problem too.

You mean Java based?

No, it's not.

XML instead is in all the models.

Sorry, I should rephrase. I ment to ask if the configuration files on the 7940 and 7960 phones were XML based like the 79x1 and 7970.

Yes, as I said all all the cisco phones uses XML both for configuration and display/applications, with the exception of 7902/06/12 that uses a different format of configuration files.

The last SIP firmware version I had on a 7940 was 8-4-0 and the config file was not XML based - I was wondering... Also, do you know if the 7940G supports symmetrical NAT?
