Hi Giles,

We are planning to deploy 4 GSS in our infrastructure (Two GSS devices / data center)

Could you please let me know the best configuration of the GSS devices

Option 1

1)1-Primary GSSM , 3- Standby GSSM's

Option 2

1 - Primary GSSM,1-Standby GSSM and 2 GSS devices.

Please confirm whther we can have more than one standby GSSM in an environment.

Thanks in advance

I have this problem too.

I seem to recall you can only have one primary GSSM and one backup GSSM the rest have to be std GSS but don't quote me on this please.

Yes, you are correct. There can only be one Primary and one Standby, so the other two need to be normal GSSs.

Please remember the primary/backup failover is not automatic and needs commmands entered on the standby if the primary fails.

We use 2 GSS in our network and they work very well.
