I need to configure PVST+ on a Cisco Catalyst 2950 with IOS Version 12.1(22)EA8a however the available options only shows - Multiple Spanning Tree(MST)and Per Virtual Spanning tree(PVST). Do I need to enable Rapid Spanning Tree?? PLease help.

As i know PVST+ IS Enable by Default on a cisco router!

Agreed,
In the Cisco world. IOS 12+, PVST = PVST+ no matter what the device IOS tells you.

What is your purpose to configure PVST+...??
What you would do?? What is your current situation?
What are the devices you have? Network topology?
Please tell something more
