Adertise loopback address

Hi all,

I want to advertise loopback address with its subnet mask in ospf. One way is by making the loopback point-to-point.

ex:

RTA(config)#int lo0

RTA(config-if)#ip ospf point-to-point

Is there any other way?

Hi,

Yes, you can redistribute the connected network(s) into OSPF and the loopback will be advertised with the actual subnet mask configured on the interface. You can use the 'redistribute-connected' command with a route-map to include the loopback and whatever connected interfaces you desire to advertise via OSPF.
