Hi All,

I just have 2 routers on my lab, both are BGP speekers between (Private AS & Public AS).

every time my routers restarted, I can see (Bgp cluster ID) subcommand under my router bgp configuration.

1- can any one tell me why? and what is a cluster ID? although i didnt configure them on the routers.

2- also I need to know the range (number) for which a private AS begins to the end?

Appreciate your feedback,

1. Cluster ID is use in Route Reflector cluster. If you have more than one route reflector in the cluster, it is recommended to configure cluster ID to all route reflectors. If however you don't configure a cluster ID, it will use a factory default (hence the command you see) and it will use the router ID of the route reflector as cluster ID.

2. The range of BGP private AS is 64512-65535
