Cisco ASA 5500 Series Anti-X Edition

hi,

I just wanted to know if the cisco ASA 5500 series Anti-X Edition or any of the other Cisco 5500 Series products, also work as web-content capturing and filtering device.

I know it has the capabilities of a pix but can i log user internet usage, like for example "the user john visit the site xxx.com"???

The ANTI-X can deny John from visiting xxx.com and log the denial.

No, you cannot filter based on username as far as I can tell. Only by source IP address and destination IP address/URL.

Thanks for the reply.

In the specs and characteristics of the device it doesn't talk anyware about AD integration, so i think is safe to assume that it cannot be done.
