hello
i m applying vlan on my cisco 2900xl switch
i want 2 make the range (port no 8 to port no 16) a part of my vlan 10.
what is the range command to make this range of ports to be the part of vlan 10.

thanx for the command.i try it but it doesn't accept it.the ios version of cisco 2900xl switch is "Version 12.0(5.2)XU"
any further suggestions--?

the 2500xl-3500xl software doesn't support the range command.

you will have manually input that command on each interface .

You can try cut/paste the config (sh run) into a notepad window, then modify the settings on a few and cut/paste the changes for the rest of the interfaces.
Once you are done with the config, cut/paste into the configur mode.
