Hi,
I gave it a try with a Catalyst 2950.
There are 2 ways to create a VLAN:
- in configuration-mode: (config) vlan x
- in vlan-database-mode: (vlan) vlan x name y
The conifg-file is stored in NVRAM and the VLANs created in the config-file are show as 'NVRAM'.
When creating new VLANs they are first shown as 'manual' - after rebooting the switch they are shown as 'NVRAM'.
