Our users are complaining of slow network and this is now across board.
Doing a Show processor cpu continuously shows "cpu utilization" shows 2% for 3 times and suddenly spike to 6% and this comes up twice and then comes down to 2%.
How can I find out where this spike is coming from?
We have a Cat 6509 IOS.

try this command
process cpu threshold type total rising 5 interval 5 falling 4 interval 30
This will log the top 3 processes that are using the CPU, with that said I really do not think that your CPU hitting 6% is really an issue , this is a pretty robust box. I have seen boxes runn at 50 - 60 % + sustained with no issues.

This command does not work on the Cisco IOS I have.
I know it is not very high but i just need to find out which interface may be casuing the spike.
I am not trying to set but to view.
