Has anyone seen the behavior of Auto-RF in environments using medical telemetry equipment (frequency-hopping APs a la Symbol Spectrum 24s)?
How does Auto-RF deal with seeing -70dB or higher noise on-channel? The concern is that it will force a channel change that's not necessary; since the FH is only on that (sub)channel for a short time, and then moves on, it would be better to stay put. It would seem that Auto-RF might keep dancing to try to avoid this, and then run right back into it somewhere else.
Does Auto-RF's DCA trigger on single or multiple occurences of co-channel interference before it makes a channel change? Does it keep a history of prior channel changes, or does it rely only on present RF conditions? Is the only option to ratchet up the Interference level to something higher than what's occuring under RRM Thresholds and/or uncheck "Avoid non-802.11 noise" in 802.11b/g parameters?

Automatic?This is the default configuration. When RRM is enabled, the DCA algorithm runs every 600 seconds, or ten minutes and, if necessary, channel changes are made at this interval. This is a display-only field and cannot be modified. Refer URL

Understood. I'm interested in knowing others experience of DCA behavior in the presence of Frequency-hopping Access Points like Symbol Spectrum 24 APs. The default settings are as follows:
These are our current 802.11b/g RRM Thresholds. My concern is not utilization but whether the -70 Noise Threshold would trigger a RRM DCA.
