does CCDA exam have simulators to configure in exam?

640-861 is the active CCDA up to the july 2007 right!!!

I don't recall any ... the nature of the test (design) requires more extraction of essential information from "story problems."

There was some emphasis on following the Cisco model (no surprise there) for data flows and impleentation of certain functions in the "right place" with the provided scenarios.

There was some stuff that (to me) fell into the "pure memorization" slot ... like the phases from getting the request to implementation and testing.

For me, the CCDA was tougher than the CCDP.

In the long run, the toughest part is figuring out what they're asking (remembering that they want it "The Cisco Way") ... once that lightbulb illuminates, the answers are right there staring you in the face.

i got the question of simulator just because... design paper is all about to designing the network... there should be more focus on the design consideration...
