VT advantage not being recognized by windows xp

I have installed VT software version 2.02 and IP communicator. Somehow, windows xp does not recognize hardware installed and in the device manager, USB device is marked not known.

VT advantage software doesnot recognize softphone installed on PC and also hardphone.

Any ideas.

Hi,

I assum you are administrator on the local machine, did you install the software before pluging in the camera, if not, delete the device and remove the software as well as unplug the camera and do the installation again after a reboot.

make sure you have the latest Service pack on XP (i think min should be SP1)

Hi,

I have installed the software without camera plugged in. After the installation, reboot the PC and plugged in the VT advantage camera. It comes up with message, camera not recognized.

SP is installed along with directx.

Any other ideas.
