CSS connection time out from service

Hi there,

I am working with a customer in Waukegan

and we are attempting to load balance

a set of J2EE web services on websphere application with a CSS Switch in front.

It seems we are having a problem when a client application that resides on the same cluster of boxes tries to call a web service on the same cluster of boxes via an https call to the CSS switch.

I have been told by the customer's networking folks that CSS won't support an application to the same virtual ip (ie: call itself in a sense.)

Can you help?

Thx very much in advance.

John Harney

I have this problem too.

The CSS has a flow map of all active flows and there is a timer task running which goes through and checks each flow periodically to see if it has been idle for its idle timeout value. So a TCP becomes eligible for garbage collection at 15 seconds but it could be many seconds after that before it is actually cleaned up.

Hi there, I think you are answering a different topic. We found a solution to this issue from another forum post about HTTP and services calling themselves.
