Can anyone tell me how to clear the statistics (errors, discards, etc.) from the Device Manager GUI for a single port or group of ports?

It is pretty easy.
Open your device manager.
Choose the following menu options
Interface
Monitor
FC Enabled (or fcip, or ethernet)
A window will pop up with the port statistics.
You can Click on the eraser looking button to clear the cumulative counters of the ports you are looking out.
The other option is to log onto the switch, and issue the clear counters interface fc1/x command.
If this was usefully please rate it :)

That seems to work for clearing the cumulative counters, but I was interested in clearing the absolutevalues which seem to be what is displayed in the Device Manager Summary screen. Perhaps those counters only get zeroed when the switch is rebooted?

Absolutevalue strings are persistent across reboots, and software upgrades.
The only way I know to get rid of them is a write erase. (they are obviously cached in a file somewhere.. I just don't know which one)
