Piotr,

You can backup the config using Console connection and also the TFTP server.

1.Using console, Openm Hyperterminal->Transfer-> Capture and name the file and the location to be saved,

switch# term len 0

switch# show run

Go to transfer again and stop the file. You will have the config file saved at the location listed above.

2.Using TFTP,

Switch#copy flash:config.txt tftp

Make sure that TFTP is reachable and you locate the correct directory.

thanks,

I have done:

cisco#copy system:running-config tftp://10.41.1.3

Address or name of remote host [10.41.1.3]?

Destination filename [cisco-confg]?

!!!

6379 bytes copied in 0.284 secs (22461 bytes/sec)

and it seems to work.

now howto restore the config file using tftp ?

copy tftp running-config or copy tftp startup-config .

thx, but howto copy vlan config to tftp server?

copy vlan.dat tftp://1.1.1.1/vlan.dat

regards,

Roman
