disable PIN from own extension via Subscriber Template

Unanswered Question

a clients wants to disable the PIN authentication if you call from your own phone.

I can disable it on the subscriber page, but I could not see how to make this default system-wide or on the Subscriber Template or COS.

Can that be done?

(I can bulk update subscribers, but that is an administrative hassle in the process to provision a new subscriber)

I have this problem too.

As ever, the product and version you're on is helpful info here.

If you're using Unity 4.2 you have the perfect solution already there - it has the option to skip PWs if you're calling from a known extension (i.e. one defined as the primary or alternate extension for that subscriber) - this is exactly what you want and can be configured on the subscriber template.

I don't believe Unity Connection allows for this - blank passwords are an open invitation for exploitation so default configurations that allow for it are frowned on.
