WireShark - Checksum offload

Hey Everyone,

I am using Wireshark and I am getting alot of Checksum offload errors. Can someone please explain what this does? Do I need to disable it?

I'm seeing this too in wireshark 0.99.5. Bug maybe, in winpcap 4.0 or wireshark.

Didn't see this in previous versions like 099.4. Maybe you try an older version of wireshark/winpcap

I've seen this when using Wireshark/Ethereal with newer network cards on newer OS versions (e.g. Solaris 9, Windows 2003, FreeBSD 6.X). If the card and driver support checksum offloading, then wireshark shows errors. I have since disabled IP and TCP checksums in Wireshark, but this is not required. Wireshark will still work even if the errors are shown.
