Hi,
How the GSS gets the load and availability statistics from the CSS.What does the keepalive KAL-AP do for finding the least loaded site.Is it based on the no.of connections,Hit counts ,server load ?????
Thanks in advance..

Load (2-254)= Alive
Load (255)= Dead
The load reported by CSS is the average load of all the content rules sharing the requested
Virtual IP.
When GSS queries CSS with KAL-AP keepalive, atleast one service on all the configured content rules using the same Virtual IP must be available, other wise CSS will respond back with load 255(Dead).

Thanks for the reply.
Any Idea how the CSS actually calculates the load for a service. Is it based on the connections/Average response time etc.. ???
Thanks,
Rajesh
