Solved: Unity express restore question

Hello, if I have a backup category all of a Cisco Unity express module, can I restore this on another module with a higher software version ? Or do I need first to install the same software as the backup version and do the restore procedure afterwards ?

Dirk,

You can restore to a higher version as this is the process used when upgrading CUE. You backup the current configuration, upgrade the software and restore the data.

Also, keep in mind that the license file is not part of the backup, so you will need to install the license file on the new module before restoring the data.
