Intelligent bandwidth management device

Dear all,

Please could anyone of you tell me the cisco product available with the following technical specifications.


Background: The intelligent bandwidth management device will be able to classify traffic & manage traffic going into and out of the Internet Router.

4.1 Placement: This device will be placed in both FDs. The typical bandwidth it will support is about 40mbit and above in the first year.

4.2 Hardware Specifications

Device must be 19?? rack mountable

Device must have redundant power supplies

Device must support 10/100/1000BaseT gigabit Ethernet over copper.

Device must have 1 ?in? interface and 1 ?out? interface & serial console interface.

Device must have bypass mode, whereby if unit fails, relays in the unit bridge the link automatically even without power source.

Able to deploy in dual redundant load sharing manner.

4.3 General Specifications

IPv4 support + IPv6 ready

UPS must support these manageability features ? SNMP ,

Remote CLI management via telnet/SSH / secure web. Firmware upgradeable.

Device to be priced by pay per use model, with shaping at the following bit rates 45mbits / 100mbits / 200mbits. Maximum shaping we will use is 200mbits shaping.

Layer7 visibility into type of traffic flows. Visibility is into IP protocols and it classify.

Device must be able to classify traffic and shape traffic with the following goals in mind

Reserve bandwidth for critical application traffic/ users

Enforce quality of service for certain applications.

Network Monitoring and time based reports on link usage

Different policies for different applications.

Rate limit traffic TCP/UDP flows

Cap a fixed bandwidth for a group of application traffic.

Partition traffic and classify traffic & policies

Device must also be able to

Analyze application traffic response time.

Report on top bandwidth usage client

Report on performance summary

link utilization

network efficiency

top classes

Device must be able to support the following

802.1 vlan tagged traffic

SNMP MIB I & MIB II support

HP Openview / Concorde / InfoVista

Device classification database must be updateable and device manufacturer is to provide periodic updates for new application types for device to classify the new traffic flows.

I have this problem too.
