has anyone configured cme using th loopback interface?
As sample config would be nice.
When I try to setup the fast ethernet ie: fa0/0.200 using the same subnet the 3725 says the ip address overlaps the loopback address.
For example loopback 0 10.10.10.20 /24
fastethernet 0/0.200 10.10.10.50/24

Set your loopback to /32.

Thanks but I am a little confused here. If I use a 32 which is what I thought of how do I route packets to that address.
Do I need to set a route to the loopback or ?
I think I have tought of this too much and got myself confused.
I trunk the the 3725 to a 3550 but but how is the loopback address known.
Hope this makes sense as I am confuse now

With routing. Include the if.s in routing and all your routers will know about them.
