Hi,

I have a C2821 with a Switchcard - I wantto get the vlans working. I am used to C6000 Series, however this model does not allow for set commands etc I have tried to get VTP flowing between them - the card is known as GI1/0.

I have created a databse on the router but its not propergatting to the switchcard or a seperate switch ? What have I done wrong - I can't seem to use trunk commands on this but reading a cisco tech thing the above should work !?!?

I have added a switch plugging into the integrated switch and these are communicating fine:

Do you create the vlans on the integrated switch instead and ifso does this mean the router won be routing them ???

Thanks for any help

Ed

Hi,

You need to create VLANS with this command:

#vlan database

it will take you in another mode ..

If you find this post usefull
