I have a PIX 525 FO with UR license.Its running 6.3(5) code. in show ver it shows VPN-3DES-AES as disabled.

how do i enable it.

Hi

Do you have a Cisco login. if not you need to register a Cisco account. Go to this page and register

Once you have a login go to

You will be prompted for you username/password.

Once on this page in the box at the top labelled "Licenses not requiring a PAK" click on the "here for available licenses" link.

Then scroll down to select the 3DES pix firewall license and follow the instructions. You will then be e-mailed with your 3DES update key.

hi,

you can get 3des license free.However,for AES,you'll have to purchase an additional license.

you can get the 3des by following the instructions in the above message.

the new activation key which is mailed to you can be entered by this command :

activation-key < four tuple key >
